As suggested at the meeting,  here is my favorite internet web site.  www.woodcentral.com.  Then go to the turning message board.  There are some very well known turners who post here frequently and almost all post are of interest and educational.  Lots of photos of work and lots of constructive suggestions.

Great link Skip.

I've had it bookmarked for a while now and sure enjoy the postings the have.  It's a great place. Smiley

BTW your kits are on their way.  Should be here by the time you get here.

Greetings!
I would have to add the following as some of my favorites:

http://www.woodturner.org/
http://www.woodturningonline.com/

If you are looking for tools, assessories, or woodturning related, I would have to add the following:
http://www.woodturnerscatalog.com/
http://www.oneway.ca/
http://www.packardwoodworks.com/
http://www.leevalley.com/US/home.aspx

Lasly, if you are just wanting to look and see what others are doing, I like to use the following:
http://www.woodturner.org/community/chapters/LocalChapters.asp
You can look at local chapters by state and then visit their websites if they are available,  Check out the newsletters, show and tells sites, tips,...  I think you get my drift.  Lots and lots to see.

Hope you find these as useful as I do.

Larry
